Pear Series
In this series of single or groups of pears, I am rendering the unique qualities of a pear. In the group compositions, the character of each individual pear and its relationship to the other pears creates a narrative within the whole composition.
Leaf Series
This series has a feeling of silence, the leaves themselves an abstraction to their cast shadow.

The paintings in this series are the expression of an inquiry into the nature of relationships, both formal and interpersonal. The formal qualities within each piece are structural elements. Color creates tension and subtext to the composition. Color is the personality of the piece.
